We not only love tea, but also design. Our stores and office are designed to offer an experience where our brand and products can be appreciated with all the senses. A mix of Japanese and Scandinavian design elements creates an atmosphere that is both elegant and cozy. For this, we were honored twice at the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2024!
In the category of Retail Design – Brand Stores, our store on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm was awarded. Our new Headquarter Office in the AchtBerlin complex won the award in the category of Spatial Communication – Interior Design. The Red Dot Award is one of the most prestigious design competitions worldwide. Each year, projects are recognized for outstanding design quality and innovative ideas. We are proud to be among this year’s winners!
Immersive and welcoming: Our award-winning store concept
Our stores are not just spaces to discover our products; they are designed to reflect the essence of our brand and invite visitors to linger. The heart of each store is the tea bar, where our guests can try our teas and take a break from everyday life. Events such as our tea tastings also take place here.
The store furniture is in-house-designed. We present our products on tables inspired by tea trays, encouraging guests to touch and engage with the items.
“Our stores invite guests to enjoy a special, sensory approach to shopping. We aim to provide a warm welcome and a peaceful retreat from the busy world outside. This award recognizes our commitment to creating spaces where every detail is thoughtfully curated to enhance our guests’ experience. We brought this same dedication to our new headquarters, which we designed as a second home for our team and partners,” says Goran Pavlic, CEO of PAPER & TEA.
For the concept development, we collaborated with the renowned architectural firm pluspunkt architektur from Graz. For almost 20 years, the company has been developing retail spaces, custom-built homes, and much more in 10 countries across Europe.
Minimalist and inviting: our new headquarters
This year, we’ve moved! We’ve found our new headquarters in the AchtBerlin complex in Berlin-Mitte. Together with the Polish design studio Schwitzke Górski, we’ve created a space that brings our brand values to life, invites collaboration, and also offers spaces for retreat.
The architecture of AchtBerlin features a lot of exposed concrete, a modern influence we’ve complemented with wood and Japanese Shōji walls, creating an atmosphere that is both minimalist and warm, functional, and inviting. At the center is our Tea House, which can be used for workshops and meetings, or as a quiet area to unwind. The workstations are designed as an open concept without fixed seats, allowing our colleagues to choose their workspace every day, fostering collaboration, flexibility, and creativity.
